Valerie Smith, a proud Seattle native, is the creative force behind Come Have A Seat, a compassionate and innovative media service dedicated to preserving the legacies, stories, and wisdom of our cherished seasoned citizens aged 60 and above, and those experiencing terminal illness. With a profound belief that every individual's life journey is a treasure trove of experiences waiting to be shared, Valerie's mission is to help them do just that.

Valerie's journey into this remarkable venture began on a significant day, August 4th, following the loss of a loved one. It was then that she felt a divine calling and, in her own words, "told God yes." In response, she was bestowed with a powerful vision to capture and celebrate the remarkable lives of our elders, and those that are terminally ill.

Her background is a fusion of Technical Program Management and Behavioral Health, reflecting her commitment to both precision and empathy. This unique blend of skills allows her to approach her work with both technical excellence and a deep understanding of the human experience.

Valerie's heart has always been inclined towards service. Throughout her life, she has initiated numerous community service and giveback projects. Notably, she is the driving force behind the Outreach Program "Get Up Friend," which provides valuable tools and resources to children in Foster Care, aiming to make their lives brighter and full of possibilities. Beyond her dedication to Come Have A Seat, Valerie also serves as the Chair of her Alumni Board, where she continues to demonstrate leadership and a commitment to creating positive change in her community.

Valerie's interests span a wide spectrum of activities. She finds joy in traveling, exploring new destinations, and seeking adventure. Her passion for storytelling is evident in her work, where she helps others share their life stories authentically. She also excels at creating spaces where people can connect, reflect, and share their wisdom.

Valerie's guiding principle is encapsulated in her words: "Preserving your story and assisting in visualizing your legacy would be my honor." Through Come Have A Seat, she provides a platform for seniors and those terminally ill to share their experiences, leaving behind timeless treasures for their families and a source of inspiration for the broader community.

When you choose to "Come Have A Seat" with Valerie and her team, you are not just a client; you become part of a community that leaves you feeling inspired, encouraged, valued, and truly seen. Valerie Smith's dedication to preserving and celebrating the richness of life's journeys is a testament to her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place, one story at a time.
